Position Overview

The Collections Specialist is responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from existing franchise owners for ServiceMaster Clean, ServiceMaster Restore, Furniture Medic and AmeriSpec Brands, which includes resolving customer billing problems and processing payments and following up on the posting of payments in an effort to reduce accounts receivable delinquency. This position will report to the Collections Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Month-end reporting
  • May process and/or distribute payment requests of any kind.
  • Distributes NSF notifications
  • May set up, track, and manage in-house repayment plans.
  • Monitors collection placements and generates revenue from collection agencies.
  • May track and report on franchisee unreported royalties.
  • May send out overdue notices and make calls on past due accounts to franchisees.

Job Requirements

  • High school degree/GED equivalent required 
  • 2+ plus years of collections experience preferred
  • Strong math skills
  • Communications skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong detail orientation with the ability to follow through
  • Deadline driven
  • Team player; willing to get the job done
  • Willingness to learn
  • Proficient in computer skills to include Microsoft Office and other software needed to complete the job
