Job Description

Develops, executes, and monitors programs and tactics to achieve business plan objectives and set sales and/or profit goals. Leads product development teams using project management skills for timely implementation and within set budgets. Develop product plans and discover ways to re-design and re-invent aging product lines. Solves problems and improves performance of assigned product lines.

Responsibilities
1. Takes ownership of the assigned product line in all aspects of the business. Manages the product through the complete product life cycle.
2. Develops annual product plans and look for ways to re-design and re-invent aging or poor performing product lines.
3. Manages product line profitability to defined company goals and performs product price reviews, price exceptions, and product line life-cycle reviews.
4. Coordinate the front-end marketing work to assure that a new product is justifiable to the business.
5. Directs and manages the product development process. Initiate and lead the process to justify the business case for developing the product.
6. Provides required on-going support for field sales, customer service, and training.
7. Develops and maintains industry contacts.

Education and Experience Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 7+ years of product management experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Experience in financial planning or with risk-bearing products preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Adaptability and agility in changing circumstances; handling multiple priorities and deadlines
* Written and verbal communication skills
* Presentation skills
* Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Ability to interpret trends and patterns
* Ability to coach and train
