Job Description

Position Overview
Designs, writes, develops, and maintains instructor-led and e-learning courses/tutorials, webinars, user guides, quick reference guides, job aids, policies, procedures, and other learning and support materials. Manages the development cycle for projects including needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.

Job Responsibilities
1. Designs, writes, develops and maintains instructor-led and e-learning courses/tutorials, webinars, user guides, quick reference guides, job aids, policies, procedures, and other learning and support materials
2. Revises and updates existing training curriculum
3. Manages the development cycle for projects including needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation
4. Recommends solutions to meet training needs
5. Records and edits audio for use within training solutions
6. May design and develop custom graphics, websites and other electronic publications
7. May facilitate Train-the-Trainer programs

Job Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of instructional design and development experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
2. Master’s degree preferred
3. Experience with training and instructional design methodologies required
4. Experience with multimedia development software (e.g., Adobe tools, Articulate) and other simulation software required
5. Experience recording and editing audio preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Knowledge of instructional design principles and theories (e.g., adult learning theory, organizational development, Kirkpatrick model of evaluation, Bloom’s taxonomy, etc.)
7. Knowledge and skill with multimedia development software (e.g., Adobe tools, Articulate) and other simulation software
8. Knowledge of current and emerging learning technologies
9. Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications
10. Analytical skills and attention to detail
11. Skill and ability to manage change
12. Skill and ability to solve problems and make decisions
13. Knowledge and skill to organize, plan, manage, execute and evaluate projects

Incumbent must be prepared to:
• Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
• Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
• Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
• Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.
Incumbent is required to have:
• Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.
Incumbent will be subject to:
• Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
