Position Overview

Responsible for providing the strategic direction for the infrastructure function on an enterprise level. Assesses the relative impact of IT industry trends to current and future enterprise infrastructure needs
and projects. Interfaces with business unit executives and other IT functional area executives to define
infrastructure support initiatives and solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness.



Job Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of infrastructure strategy, architecture, service delivery standards and procedures for the enterprise.
  • Analyzes and predicts trends and develops long-range plan designed to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness of the enterprise’s IT infrastructure.
  • Participates in IT strategy planning activities, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of infrastructure technology and systems and best practices (e.g., ITIL) as related to the needs of the business.
  • Proactively researches and recommends courses of action to prevent problems and to maintain high infrastructure service levels for the user community.
  • Establishes metrics, key performance indicators and service level agreements for driving the performance of IT service delivery.
  • Responsible for the IT service delivery management of desktop, databases, servers, networks, storage, e-mail, directory and other technology platforms shared across the enterprise.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically has 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of experience in managing multiple, medium to large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders. Experience in areas such as network design and administration, data center operations, database administration, and systems programming and administration.
  • Possess and applies knowledge of management skills in the completion of ongoing tasks and project.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of organizations business practices, issues faced, and problem resolution.

Incumbent must be prepared to:

• Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.  
• Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
• Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
• Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have: 

• Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy,  such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

• Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
