Job Description



Position Overview

Responsible for identifying and working on high-impact human resources projects and developing viable solutions through data analysis, predictive modeling, business process improvement, and advanced analytic techniques.



Job Responsibilities

  • Performs large-scale data analysis and develops effective statistic models for predication, segmentation, classification, optimization, time series, etc.
  • Builds models using standard and advanced statistical techniques, such as logistic regression, multi-nominal regression, CHAID, and clustering analysis.
  • Identifies opportunities to utilize advanced analytics to improve Human Resources performance, in metrics, such as associate turnover, hiring success, costs, performance assessment, advancement, and community performance.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to proactively create business rules, deploy analytics, and manage decisions.
  • Handles data preparation, data feeds, and updates of various projects.
  • Ensures accuracy of results produced, as a result of data analysis.
  • Leads/participates in process improvement projects, delivering significant quantifiable operational improvement and financial benefits across the organization.
  • Improves processes to reduce non-value-added activity and utilize knowledge of waste to identify processes improvement opportunities, propose leaner processes and drive their successful implementation.
  • Partners with management to assess current processes, identify improvement opportunities and convey the value of continuous process improvement.
  • Quantifies potential and actual benefits in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Establishes appropriate controls, metrics, and monitoring processes to ensure gains are sustained.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or other related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • PhD is a plus.
  • 7 years experience in an analytical role with a proven record of success and advancement required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.

  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.


Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.
