Position Overview

Creates and administers human resources policies, programs and practices, including: planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing. Manages and formulates company policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department and recommending policies and practices to senior management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Directs and administers HR policies, procedures, and programs for assigned business unit
  • Partners with business unit management to understand business drivers and facilitate HR operations and strategy
  • Partners with the HR functions and management to continually develop, and implement and enhance HR strategy
  • Directs and oversees a variety of other HR programs, activities and projects
  • Ensures the optimization of processes through technology and subsequent conversion and implementation
  • Directs, develops, and mentors a staff of HR professionals

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, public administration, psychology, education or related field with 8 years managerial experience in the HR field or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
  • Master’s Degree in human resources or related personnel/human resources field is preferred
  • Certified Senior Professional (SPHR) preferred/li>
  • Strong planning, analytical, and influencing skills
  • Strong business/financial acumen
  • Strong managerial and leadership skills
  • Strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
