Position Overview

Responsible for escalated, complex issue resolution regarding Workday procedures and HR policy. Manages workflow and provides expertise and coaching to business HR Managers regarding exceptions and special circumstances.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides Tier 3 level customer service to Business Units by receiving and responding to escalated questions regarding information contained in Workday. Refers questions and/or requests to other appropriate personnel as appropriate
  • Assist the HR Shared Services Supervisor by acting as the lead worker with fielding questions and providing training for the HR Operations Specialist team
  • Coach HR Managers on Workday functionality and SVM HR procedures including finding work-around solutions when issues arise regarding any special circumstances, or in some cases, having the managerial courage to uphold standard procedures
  • Maintain Workday hierarchies (cost center, supervisory organization) through emails, tickets and organization structure meetings
  • Review and run audits, including new hire employment, work location audits, on-boarding audits, business process in progress and others to ensures that HR-related transactions are processed in compliance with external and internal policies and regulations
  • Performs mass transactions in Workday using the appropriate templates (EIBs)
  • Provide Workday training to business units and HR Managers
  • Coordinates processing of associate transactions with Legal or other internal departments as needed
  • Verifies and provides information from Workday and Testing Vendors as requested per Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for team members
  • Load manual hires in Workday when needed, including HR contractors, Assured Environments hires, white glove hires, and small acquisitions
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
     

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2-4 years of HRIS or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Ability to review business processes and identify gaps/areas of improvement
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for effective delivery of analytic solutions
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, Visio, Word) required
  • Teamwork and Collaboration skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal and external customers
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.  
  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discrimination in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have: 

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy,  such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
