SUPERVISOR - INVENTORY/LOGISTICS


Develops and manages processes and procedures to ensure inventory and ERP systems are accurate and consistent.  Maintains records and provides inventory reporting.  Supervises processes and procedures for accurate freight payment and manages relationship with 3rd Party Transportation Management System provider.  Manages vendor orders for inventory replenishment.


Job Responsibilities


  • Supervises all tasks associated with the control and accuracy of physical inventory.  
  • Supervises and participates in inventory cycle count processes.  
  • Maintains inventory cycle count results reporting and presents results to Director and Senior Director on a bi-weekly basis.  
  • Manages resolution of inventory and location discrepancies.
  •  Develops and maintains processes and procedures related to inventory and location accuracy.
  • Maintains up-to-date inventory and location records by managing data entry and approved inventory adjustments into ERP database.  
  • Responds to inquiries regarding inventory levels and locations.
  •  Audits receiving records of incoming inventory to ensure accuracy.
  • Management and oversight of vendor purchase orders for inventory replenishment for all business units  
  • Provides inventory process training to DC employees as required.
  • Manages the process for ensuring proper inventory adjustments are made for outbound and inbound workshop and convention shipments.  
  • Manages offsite storage inventory accuracy and coordinates movement and related adjustments between offsite location and DC.  
  • In conjunction with warehouse manager, manages and supervises physical inventories as required.
  • Responsible for monitoring and disposal of obsolete, damaged and expired product.
  • Manage Warehouse Inventory Lead position when applicable.
  • Support Director of Logistics and Distribution with evaluations, approvals, and analyses of freight cost, audit and payment.
  • Manage relationship with 3rd Party TMS provider along with TMS functionality with an emphasis on continuous oversight of systems and procedures.
  • Monitor daily workflow to ensure efficient, timely, thorough, and accurate invoice auditing and processing, exception invoice resolution, and processing of overcharge/undercharge invoices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to address and resolve carrier payment and billing issues
  • Research slow moving inventory and assist in facilitating disposition
  • Manage process of manufacturer returns for credit/recall/exchange     

Job Requirements


  • Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory management within a distribution center setting.
  • Familiarity with ERP, WMS functionality and TMS systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel.
  • Flexible schedule for weekend work when applicable
  • Previous supervisory role in distribution center setting is preferred.
  • Experience with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) systems preferred.
  • Strong calculative and analytical skill sets.
  • Ability and effectiveness to manage time and meet required deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fork Lift Certification preferred
