Job Description



Position Overview

Executes sales strategy, as developed by company and sales leadership, to ensure company goals are achieved. Manages the activities of direct reports within designated commercial vertical market segments, including the   acquisition of new accounts and implementation of business expansion plans within managed accounts. Directly targets and acquires strategic accounts in high priority commercial market segments. 





Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies and prioritizes target accounts for direct reports and individual portfolio.
  • Collaborate with management and functional departments (e.g. Marketing, Operations) to implement sales acquisition strategies.
  • Coaches direct reports on account pursuit and account management strategies.
  • Negotiates contract and operating terms for strategic commercial accounts.
  • Oversees account penetration and growth strategies for contracted accounts and adherence of the corporate and network service delivery to contracted standards.
  • Develops presentations for internal and external customers. Follows up with commitments and monitors percentage attainment of stated goals.
  • Performance management of direct reports.
  • May be responsible for onboarding and training of new sales and / or account management personnel.
  • Assist in Commercial customer segment business process improvement, budgeting and planning processes. 




Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from college or university.
  • 5-10 years sales experience or account management experience.
  • 2-5 years of sales management experience.
  • Experience within a related field is strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
  • Computer skills with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Strategic thinking, complex problem solving and decision making
  • Collaborative working style with strong organization and time management skills
  • Travel 20-40% of the time with acknowledgement of working in a 24/7 emergency response environment where travel may be required on weekends and holidays

• Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.  
• Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
• Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
• Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have: 

• Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy,  such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

• Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
