Position Overview

This Manager, Programs and Governance is responsible for developing project and change management capabilities, building the HR operating model, and managing the Total Cost of Ownership for HR in-line with external benchmarks.

This position will report to the Vice President, Total Rewards and HR Shared Services and support the Chief HR Officer (CHRO) helping to set the HR strategy and cascade it throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and oversee Human Resources (HR) programs and projects including tools, governance processes, and best practices.
  • Design and oversee change management process and manage communications to stakeholders including C-Suite, HR, Managers, and Teammates.
  • Build project management and change management capabilities among the HR team.
  • Oversee both internal and external project managers and align project plans across organizations to ensure successful execution of strategies.
  • Develop HR and functional scorecards and assess metrics against best-practice.
  • Works with CHRO and HR Leadership Team (HRLT) to develop and maintain HR Governance and Operating Model including approval authorities and RACIs.
  • Support development of presentations for Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR) and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meetings.
  • Partners with CHRO helping to coordinate HR governance items including strategic planning, HRLT meetings, Town Halls, annual goals, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Leverage this opportunity to constantly learn the business, strategy, execution capabilities and delivering on commitments plus developing the ability to influence people in the organization to drive performance.
  • Partners with finance to facilitate the annual budget cycle process, track monthly and quarterly spend, and provide consolidated projects for HR function.
  • Works with Procurement and Finance to oversee HR spends and ensure appropriate internal controls exist.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, or Human Resources is highly desired. A graduate degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Qualified candidate will have 5-7 years experience in change management and/or project management experience including the following: change impact analysis and planning, communications including executive level and broader stakeholder communications, training design and development, business readiness, adoption and sustainability, planning and management.
  • Ability to identify and leverage cross-functional department resources to accomplish goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; articulate communicator with strong analytical and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with executive management and multiple constituencies.

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.  
  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have: 

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy,  such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
