Position Overview

Responsible for designing and maintaining pre-hire assessment processes that are efficient and empirically supported. This includes identifying where pre-hire assessments are most needed, conducting validation studies and working with internal stakeholders to gain buy in for the pre-hire assessment process. Using established principles of survey design, create and maintain voice of the employee census and pulse surveys. Conduct linkage studies and other forms of organizational research to support talent processes. Consult with team members on measurement, metrics and impact studies and support other talent processes as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Recommends, designs, validates, implements and monitors pre-hire assessments. 
  • Develops, designs and rolls out engagement census and pulse surveys.
  • Conducts engagement and pulse survey linkage research.
  • Supports the engagement survey action planning program.
  • Maintains relationships with assessment and engagement vendors.
  • Supports other talent processes as needed (e.g. interview guide development, performance management, succession  planning, etc)
  • Develops and maintains a culture toolkit for the franchise population.

Job Requirements

  • Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field
  • Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field is preferred
  • Experience with pre-hire assessments and survey design
  • Certification in Hogan preferred
  • Experience with Python or R preferred
  • 1 year of organizational development, training, and /or HR experience required
  • Experience with adult learning principles, program development and delivery, and/or talent management required
  • Certifications in group facilitation and/or talent development assessments (e.g., MBTI, Hogan, DDI, PDI) strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of organizational development principles and theories
  • Knowledge of change management, instructional design and technology, leadership development and process design
  • Skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software applications
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Ability to evaluate statistics
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Professional written and verbal communications skills, including influencing and persuading others
  • Knowledge and ability to provide performance coaching and consulting
  • Ability to organize, manage and lead multiple projects

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.

  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
