Job Description

Position Overview

Responsible for training and development of service in the field for Terminix Residential. Provides formal facilitation to new and existing associates. Reports to the Terminix Training and Development team and partners with the field to roll out major training initiatives on service initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts Train the Trainer sessions for major service training initiatives and ongoing/remedial training
  • Facilitates various courses, as assigned
  • Partners with Design/Development to build training modules that align with how adults learn
  • Demonstrates understanding and articulates importance of blended learning methodologies for training and development
  • Researches and stays apprised of learning and development trends and facilitation best practices
  • Plans, organizes, facilitates, and orders supplies for training programs
  • Provides training at all levels in the field
  • Communicates with relevant leaders regarding feedback on training participants
  • Monitors course and program feedback and adjusts approach
  • Analyze and report out on training metrics that link to measurable business results

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent service experience preferred
  • 2-5 years of field training experience required
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of how adults learn
  • Demonstration of facilitation skills (vs. presentation skills, which is not training)
  • Skill and ability to facilitate and conduct instructor-led classroom and/or virtual training to support knowledge/learning transfer
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
  • Ability to analyze and report out on training metrics that link to business results
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and apply stakeholder management
  • Skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of time

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
