Position Overview

Under the general guidance of the VP BU Partner IT, directs all IT activities in support of an operating unit or function within an enterprise. Assesses the relative impact of emerging technology to strategic operating unit or function needs and interprets their meaning to senior IT leadership team. Participates in overall business technology planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems as related to the company's competitive position. Interacts with internal and external customers to ensure continuous customer satisfaction. Determines long-term information needs for the operating unit or function and participates in an enterprise-wide strategy for systems development and hardware acquisition and integration.




Job Responsibilities

  • Manages relationships with BU/Function acting as the primary voice from IT to the leadership in the BU/Function
  • Under the guidance of the VP BU Partner IT, develops IT strategic plans for the BU/Function
  • Leads the BU/Function through improved IT and enterprise proposals for new projects and technologies agreement on allocations and agreement for enterprise strategy
  • Provides the enterprise IT functions with insight into current and future requirements including application planning, technology planning, and volume metrics
  • Responsible for portfolio management oversight for BU/Function and business case development
  • Ensures budget development and monitoring as well as allocation management and planning for BU/Function
  • Obtains BU/Function resources including management for planning efforts, operations for requirements gathering and design, and testers for user acceptance testing
  • Ensures BU/Function captures and reports benefits for all approved projects
  • Plans, implements and manages ITO with COEs
  • Contributes to the development, review, and compliance of IT policies and procedures within BU/Function including project approval process, signature authority policy, information security policies and processes, and disaster recovery and business continuity processes



Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems or a related field with 6 years of IT cross-functional (e.g., Infrastructure and Application Development) management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with IT strategic planning and budget management required Knowledge of information systems and business processes
  • Knowledge and skill to prepare and manage complex budgets
  • Project management
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
