Position Overview

Exercises good judgment in coordinating and supervising the daily activities of an accounting team to include general accounting activities, preparing records, analyzing and reporting accounting transactions, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of records.



Job Responsibilities

  • Managerial tasks, including providing performance evaluations, coaching and training, hiring, disciplining, termination, mentoring, leading and counseling staff.
  • Works closely with reconciliations, order to cash, and remittance processing groups.
  • Oversees and ensures accuracy of daily, weekly and monthly balancing and reconciliation.
  • Provides assistance to corporate accounting on various G/L account variances; handles escalated issues and provide support to the department.
  • Researches and resolves second and third level customer inquiries.
  • Develops training materials for processes and procedures and implements training curriculum.
  • Monitors system interfaces to ensure processes are completed and coordinates with IT on special projects, such as researching and resolving issues.
  • Develops and recommends improvements for processes.
  • Implements policies and procedures and recommends new approaches to drive continuous improvements.
  • Maintains staffing, scheduling, and distribution of assignments and projects to meet department needs.


Job Requirements

  • Associates degree in business related field preferred and/or 4 years experience
  • Three years experience in transaction based services required
  • Good judgment, strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills including MSExcel, MSWord and MSAccess
  • Advanced knowledge of transaction based services
  • Excellent people skills
  • Advanced analysis and problem solving abilities
  • Dependability and accountability

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.

  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.


Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
