Position Overview

Supervises and coordinates the HR Shared Services team which is responsible for providing support to associates and managers relating to HR processes including, but not limited to, recruitment, onboarding, manager self-service transactions, performance management and all other HR processes, as developed within Workday.

Job Responsibilities

Delegates tasks, monitors performance, provides coaching and development to the HR Shared Services team. Facilitates and contributes to staffing and employment processes for the HR Shared Services team. Ensures high level customer service and problem resolution for tier 1 issues by the HR Shared Services team. Fields and resolves escalated issues from the team and facilitates quick resolution. Provides high level customer service to Business Units by receiving and responding to escalated questions regarding information contained in Workday. Refers questions and/or requests to other appropriate personnel as appropriate Coach HR Managers on Workday functionality and SVM HR procedures including finding work-around solutions when issues arise regarding any special circumstances, or in some cases, having the managerial courage to uphold standard procedures Develops, coaches and consults with HR Shared Services team to support managers and associates regarding HR processes and policies. Performs mass transactions in Workday using the appropriate templates (EIBs) Provide Workday training to business units and HR Managers Coordinates processing of associate transactions with Legal or other internal departments as needed Verifies and provides information from Workday and Testing Vendors as requested per Human Resources policies and procedures Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 1-2 years of HRIS (Workday) or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 3-5 years of HR generalist experience required Experience in supervising a Shared Service center for HR preferred Supervisory skills including coaching, development and performance management of hourly employees Ability to review business processes and identify gaps/areas of improvement Ability to communicate effectively to internal customers; both verbal and written Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for effective delivery of analytic solutions. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, Visio, Word) preferred Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively as part of a team

• Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.

• Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.

• Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have

• Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy,  such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

• Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
